We all remember former Patriots defensive tackle Vince Wilfork as being one of the faces of the New England defense for a decade.
We also remember he wasn't the skinniest person in the world and while that helped on the football field, it doesn't when you have to crawl under a fence.
Former Patriots offensive lineman Matt Light was on 98.5 The Sports Hub's Toucher and Rich program this week and told the guys a story from when he and Wilfork went hunting together.
The two reached a point where they had to climb under a fence -- for some reason they couldn't climb over it -- and naturally the 325 pound Wilfork got stuck.
“I’ll never forget when Big Vince was with me and we were down in Rhode Island and we had to go under a fence because we couldn’t go over it and he got high-centered under the fence,” Light said. “Probably one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen was his front end kind of, you know, clawing at the ground and his back end, the legs were kicking. I mean, it was pretty comical.
“I’m not sure that I’ve ever told it,” continued Light. “I’m not even sure why I just remembered that. But it was an amazing moment.”
Too bad Light didn't snap a couple photos before helping his teammate out from under the fence. Guess we'll just have to use our imagination to make up the hilarious image.
